in this test, you will have an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to understand and use
spoken English. The test is divided into three parts.
Part I Questions and Answers.
Part 2 Role-play.
Part 3 Mini-talk.
Part 1 Answer the questions the examiner asks yon.
Part 2 Complete a role-play task with your conversation partner, using the information
provided in the following box. You have 4 minutes for this part.
Student A and Student B are classmates. Student A is telling Student. B about some
disagreement that has occurred between friends. The following is the procedure you should
follow.
● Say you are not interested as John and Mary are quarreling all the time (boredom);
● Say you think it is useless, and tells A not to bother (persuading)
● Advise A not to worry and that it is only a disagreement (reassuring);
● Say you think that Mary and John will make up soon, and promise to speak to them if
things really get serious (condition).
Part 3 Speak on the following topic for 2--3 minutes.
Have you ever had experience doing business negotiations? If so, describe the
experience. If not, talk about what should be kept in mind during a business negotiation and
explain what is a chauvinist attitude.
